Pairing with Pokémon GO™
Before you can start auto-catching with Great/Ultra balls, you’ll need to pair your Ultra Mod: MAX device with the Pokémon GO™ app. The process is the same for both Android and iOS.
Step 1: Open the Accessory Device Settings
-
Launch Pokémon GO™ (make sure the app is updated to the latest version).
-
Tap the Poké Ball icon at the bottom of the screen to open the main menu.
-
Tap Settings in the top right corner.
-
Scroll down and tap Connected Devices and Services.
-
Tap Accessory Devices.

Step 2: Prepare Your Device
-
Make sure your Ultra Mod: MAX is charged. The Side Button LED should glow orange or green when powered.
-
Hold the device close to your phone.
-
Press the Main Button once — a dim white flash indicates pairing mode.
Step 3: Pair in the App
-
In Pokémon GO™, tap the Pokémon GO Plus +™ option when it appears.
-
When prompted, press the Main Button and Side Button on your device at the same time to confirm pairing.
- Once successful, your Ultra Mod: MAX will be linked to Pokémon GO™.

Next, configure your in-game settings to enable Ultra Mod: MAX's hands-free auto-throws (see Configuring Auto-Throws in Pokémon GO™ for details).
Notes
-
Only one device can be paired with a Pokémon GO™ account/app at a time.
-
Each device can only be linked to one account/app at a time.
-
If you need to switch, see the Forgetting/Resetting a Device** guide.
Troubleshooting
- If your device does not appear for pairing in Accessory Device Settings:
- Make sure the device is sufficiently charged
- Clear any other associated devices from Pokémon GO by pressing the "eject" icon next to each.
- Verify that your phone's Bluetooth is turned on.
- If your device was previously associated with another phone/account, you'll need to perform a Factory Reset before pairing it with a new one.
- If you're still having trouble, please contact GadCAD 3D for support!
